In this role you will work with an independent Skills Service NFP who supports a range of Industry Reference Committees (IRCs) to undertake training product development that ensures skills meet future industry needs.

About the role

As Training and Skills Engagement Specialist you will contribute to the key strategic objectives of the organisation by engaging with key stakeholders within the Health and Community sector including industry, gove
ment and the VET sector to identify industry needs and ensure nationally recognised training products reflect those skills needs.
You will have responsibility for the provision of administrative and project support to designated committees related to the Health and Community industry and ensuring that all the work is undertaken to meet contractual requirements of the organisation and priorities of the Commonwealth Gove
ment.

This is a full time permanent role in a creative and bright office in Sydneys CBD

Main responsibilities

– Build and maintain professional and productive working relationships with IRCs members and the wider stakeholders network including employers, key industry bodies, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and employee representative groups.
– Undertake industry engagement and research to develop cases for change, industry skills forecasts and cases for endorsement
– Actively maintain high level knowledge and awareness of industry priorities, changes and challenges
– Plan, implement and monitor training package development projects and ensure requirements of IRCs, cases for change and agreed deliverables are met and work completed by contract consultants is to a high standard.

To be suitable for this role you have;

– Knowledge and understanding of the Vocational Education and training systems, with additional experience in community and health sector.
– Understanding of workforce issues relating to an area across community, aged care, disability or health services.
– Strong organisational skills with demonstrated experience in project management and ability to priorities and schedule work to meet deadlines
– Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication; along with highly developed partnership, networking and negotiation skills
– Ability to maintained detailed and accurate records of stakeholder engagement
– High level attention to detail and accuracy
– Have sound knowledge and high-level computer literacy, skills Microsoft Office suite and inte

Volunteer Community Visitor – Ipswich

The program
Having good social connections are essential for all aspects of health, especially as we age. Australian Red Cross supports older people who live alone or who have few social connections and people with disabilities.
Australian Red Cross social connection programs match those who are not in regular social contact with people with a caring and friendly volunteer. These programs include home visits, social outings, group activities and peer support.
The opportunity
This role suits someone over the age of 18 who is a good listener and can commit to one hour a fortnight for a social visit to someone living in their own home or a small group of residents in an aged care facility. If visiting someone at home, a drivers licence is desirable.

Senior Clinician, Casey Acute Community Interventions Service

– Senior Clinician for Enhanced Community Assessment and Treatment Team (ECATT) based at Casey Emergency Department
– Part Time Night Shift Temporary role
– The door is open to join our supportive and experienced team

We have an important position to fill across our Acute Community Interventions Service within our Mental Health Program. You will find every day is different with us. Take advantage of working amongst a well experienced and cohesive team where our goal is to support everyone in their growth and development. Undertake a comprehensive clinical and psychosocial assessment of persons referred to the service that are acutely unwell or at risk of becoming so. This work will include making independent decisions along the way and developing comprehensive individual treatment plans.

Your place with us will find you working in our Emergency Department as part of the Enhanced Crisis and Assessment Treatment Team (ECATT). This role involves being the sole clinician on overnight and we will support you as you begin your work in this area.

You are an excellent communicator, building rapport with others. Your contribution begins with a solid foundation in understanding Community Mental Health. Your roster will be night shift over 7 days as well as some day shifts for the purpose of training.

Aside from your current registration, you will require Post Graduate studies or experience in Mental Health.

About the Company

The organisation is a local not for profit health provider and is responsible for providing allied health services to a wide range of clients from all walks of life in the local community. The local community rely on services such as this to provide care and treatment for a range of conditions. There is an already established team consisting of a number of allied health staff including occupational therapists, podiatrists, speech pathologists, nurses and a team of 3 other Occupational Therapists.

About the Job

You will work as part of the busy allied healthcare team under the allied health manager. You will work closely as part of a MDT, providing services to a range of clients with a wide range of conditions. An experienced occupational therapist is required due to the autonomy required in this role. Those with under 4 years of previous experience may not be considered however should call for more details. There is a great amnount of support available allowing an opportunity for someone to make the step to a grade 2 role.

Given the nature of the service, presentation will vary offering a wide range of clinical experience. It’s likely you will gain exposure to a wide range of patients presenting with various conditions such as general disabilities, orthopaedic, neurological and other conditions.

Day to Day Duties

Day to day duties will include:

– Working one to one with clients, families and other members of the team

– Providing treatment, education and guidance

– Facilitating reviews, compiling reports and over service review

– Work with a large network of clients

– Create and review care and treatment plans based on individual needs

Skills and Experience

– Ability to engage clients from a range of backgrounds

– At least 4 years of previous experience

– Full registration with no practice limitations

– Eligibility to work and live in Australia

– Educational or operational experience

Community Rehabilitation Support Worker. Full-time Nights – Fremantle

About the role
Ngatti House is a service which provides medium-term accommodation and clinical support to young people between 17 and 22 years of age, who show signs and symptoms of mental illness while homeless or at risk of homelessness.

As a Community Rehabilitation Support Worker you will provide one to one psycho-social support services which focus on client – determination, empowerment, hope and belief that recovery from a mental illness is possible.

This is a full-time role working night shifts (10pm-8am) and one shift per fortnight.

Key Responsibilities

– Support consumers to develop their own support plans in partnership with Life Without Barriers, Community Mental Health services and carers
– Liaise and collaborate with consumers, their community and community support agencies such as mental health, housing and other services to ensure an integrated and timely service
– Monitor and review consumers’ progress through the service and against the case plan and provide up to date progress reports to the partner organisations
– Seek to understand consumer’s expectations.
– Sensitively ascertain information about the consumer’s health, family and cultural background
– Coordinate the delivery of services to consumers and work with the client to utilise other referral agencies and services
– Observe and accurately record the client’s behaviour, needs and interactions with others
– Maintain accurate case notes, up to date case plans and files
– Effectively plan and organise own work effort and regularly provide feedback to the manager on their work progress

Skills & Experience

– Certificate IV in Mental Health or working towards
– Previous experience in working with people who have a mental health issue and who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
– Demonstrated ability to work with people from Diverse Cultural Backgrounds with specific reference to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
– Demonstrated ability to positively engage, interact and work with people who have complex needs including a psychiatric disability
– Current Senior First Aid Certificate
– Current Driver Licence

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
